Caterham Superlight R No.77 ........."V7 SLR"
After
8 years of ownership of my 1995 Caterham Supersport and all the changes that
had been made - 1400cc to 1800cc, fitment of throttle bodies with Emerald
engine management, dry-sump system and much more, in September 2006 a Superlight R was offered for sale
at a price not to be missed
..........
Registered
in 1999, it had been built and owned for 6 years by an
active member of the owners' club, then sold to a prominent classic car
enthusiast. The new owner then had the car completely repainted and fitted with
suitable extras such as Carbon-Kevlar Tillett seats and a BTB exhaust silencer,
whilst retaining as much originality as possible. After only 13 months the car
was then offered for sale again. Right place right time etc!
During its' life SLR No.77 has received
much attention and many changes have taken place, some modifications to improve
performance, some as a test bed for minor projects. Much of this is documented
